We are delighted to announce we will be hosting the Basra Megaprojects Conference in Istanbul, Turkey


This year, the conference returns to Istanbul in Turkey for two days of in-depth knowledge sharing and networking.

Set against the backdrop of this vibrant city, with magnificently decorated imperial mosques, impressive museums and galleries, as well as cuisine as diverse as its cultural heritage – you’ll find plenty of attractions to explore in the evenings after the conference or for entertaining clients.

Please note there’s a new airport in Istanbul – the IST Airport

This is the closest Airport to the Conference Venue. Please view the journey here which will indicate the way from the Airport to the Intercontinental Istanbul.

We recommend staying directly at the Conference venue, the stunning Intercontinental Hotel. Delegates of the Basra Conference have access to a discounted rate for during event days. To access the discounted rate, you must first register to attend the Conference. Once registered you will receive an email confirmation with all the information on your participation, including the discounted rate at the Intercontinental Hotel.

Alternatively, you may wish to stay at another hotel in the city. Take a look at the Hotels Map to view availability in the area during the event dates.

Note: Please allow sufficient time for processing before you intend to travel, keeping in mind differences in hours and days of business of foreign embassies. It is the responsibility of the individual to arrange and bear any costs associated with obtaining an entry visa and although we may be able to assist with this process, we will not accept liability for any such costs, nor for any costs associated with the failure to obtain such entry visa. Please note that you should allow up to two weeks for the invitation letter to be issued.
